Naomi Brettel handcrafts quality, affordable jewellery from sterling silver and Colin Heaney glass in the form of necklaces, rings, chokers and earrings. Each piece is an original, creative and colourful work of art that you will love to wear!
The glass Naomi uses has been blown by Colin Heaney in his studio in Byron Bay. It is handmade from molten glass, drawn from a 1200 C furnace using special blowpipes and glass tools. Colours are added in the form of glass powders, chips, shards and canes. Colin Heaney’s art glass is highly sought after and can be found in collections all over the world.
Naomi uses this glass and cuts, grinds and polishes it into the unique necklaces, chokers, earrings and rings. Other techniques used on some pieces include sand blasting. Most pieces then have silver added to them to further enhance their shape and beauty.
