"My more recent work returns to my early drawing, striving for the realism without trying to be photographic. I hold no love for drawings or paintings that look real. We invented the camera for that. My work should utilise the media I work in to express a thought or emotion or philosophy and quite possible all of these things, but especially a glimpse at my beliefs and my version of spirituality. These works are most importantly an exploration of the relationship between thought and texture."
