Greenstone Gallery Update |
Emerald Beach Community Fair
Greenstone Gallery was proud to be part of the very successful 2008 Emerald Beach Community fair. The grounds of the gallery provided the perfect backdrop for local entertainment, squeezing in over 150 people who enjoyed the beautiful day and high standard local talents.
The gallery itself exhibited a range of artworks from year 10 students from Woolgoolga High School. The theme of these works were the 'Degradation of Society' and were extremely insightful and thought-provoking along with being very well received by the many people who viewed the gallery.
We also exhibited a range of 'Bits on Sticks' from our younger children from Sandy Beach Public School and St Francis Xavier Primary School. These interesting sculptures looked fantastic. It was great to see the gallery be used to assist the community and we look forward to participating again next year.

The near Future
Greenstone gallery will be showcasing an exhibition of "functional art" in August 2008. At present we are still developing the group and would like to invite any artist who feels their work would suit such an exhibition.
