Artist Statement
"The work flows from momentary impressions, long contemplation, dreams, talking, life and living. I like to have fun working. Media is dictated by whatever makes my hands happy, sometimes taking a few minutes, sometimes weeks.
Always there is a lot of work in progress. Freshness is important, if it bogs down it gets scrapped. Realism never gets in the way of a good sculpture.
I like what John Steinbeck said about there being a "hole in reality through which we can look... if we wish." I try to look through that hole as much as possible."
