Amanda Bragg
amanda bragg"My first love is drawing and my artwork was first published as a comic strip for a Brisbane Newspaper when I was aged 13.

I began painting while working as an assistant Gallery Manager and the exhibiting Artists encouraged me to pursue my dream.

amandabraggpic.jpg My driving force is the necessity to constantly draw from the everyday “jois de vivre” to symbolize the formal possibility of incorporating natural harmony with mankind and the environment.
I aspire to create a perfect world through my art, unattached to the banalities and formalities of our everyday existence and to celebrate the intensity and exhilaration of life, full of activity.

Mostly self taught I work with acrylic on board with a repertoire including Portraits, Still life, Landscapes, and figurative pieces always a source of inspiration. I experience great pleasure in orchestrating composition, colour and the movement of social events, expressed with a heightened palette.

I have enjoyed exhibiting in Australia and overseas and have completed numerous commissions, including 10 paintings commissioned by the one company in Japan. I have featured in many Newspapers and magazines, Television Interviews, and in “People” Magazine." Amanda

Awards include winning the Nifsan Gold Coast Signature Art Prize in 2002 and an invitation to exhibit at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy.
