"When I am painting I am travelling in other dimensions and the process of paint and canvas becomes an intimate relationship.
I work with the paint until it “feels” connected. My main inspiration, water in any form, particularly the ocean with its never ending transformations of moods, depth and movement. It is my healer and life force.
The human form also a magic source of changing shapes often appear in my paintings. I am the observer, however I do not paint with a particular objective in mind, I allow it to unfold and emerge wherever it wants to go.
There are moments when I am ecstatic, at times I feel intense emotional pain, joy and tranquillity - a mixed bag of emotions. My paintings are a culmination of emotional release. Painting has become an addiction and a never ending journey of child like joy and amazement.
I am inspired by my artists, some favourites being - Willem de Kooning, Robert Rauschenberg, Elwynn Lynne and Ian Fairweather."
