 The idea of chance is fundamental to my work. After meditating I
begin painting, allowing for my subconscious to play freely.
I invite coincidences to occur in conjunction with my own psychic states, an
interplay and interdependence of objects, actions, space, time and
consciousness.
While working with the paintings a rhythm evolved
between the materials doing their own thing and my intervention,
changing the course of events through my own intuitive as well as
logical responses to the events that occurred, then allowing for more
coincidences. I saw the works in this way, as individual entities of a
given time and space interacting with the cosmos and playing a part in
its creation.
