I am a fibre artist whose works reflect my reverence for the miraculous phenomena of the natural world.
Using materials such as silk wool, plant fibres, seed pods and pine needles, I play with their distinct shapes, colours, textures, structures and movements to inspire contemplation and delight.
My compositions are abstract room installations and wall-mounted sculptures that emerge from a process of inward journeying and joyful collaboration with my materials.
Respecting the unique characteristics of each, I balance every element with its counterpart to create something new. Within this process, I am attentive to the nuances and “spaces in between” that enrich both my art-making and my experience of daily life.
My skills are based on my practical training as a floral artist in Germany, where I graduated with a degree from the renowned Fachschule für Blumenkunst Weihenstephan, in Freising.
